What's in a Bag of Love?

The following are some of the things that we typically put in the Bags of Love we deliver to to the Child Welfare Division of Weld County's Department of Human Services. Each child receives a bag filled with purchased or donated items.

Personal Care Products
  • toothbrushes, toothpaste, toothbrushcases
  • combs and brushes; hair pieces for girls
  • shampoo and conditioner combined
  • medium-size bars of soap and plastic soap cases
  • lotion
  • washcloths and towels
  • small Kleenex packs
  • caps and mittens in winter months
  • fleece blankets for older children and small quilts for younger children and babies

Toys and Books
  • age- and gender-appropriate new small toys
  • stuffed animals
  • coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, and washable markers
  • activity books
  • puzzle books
  • journals for older children
  • story books
  • school supplies
  • water bottles

  • large backpacks
  • large pillow-shaped bags with drawstrings
  • small diddy bags
